  26. is intended as a pointer for those who want to learn more about the
  27. show.

  31. Saturday night: a backstage history of Saturday night live (1986)
  32. by Doug Hill and Jeff Weingrad
  33.  
  34. I highly recommend this book.  It gives a detailed, in-depth
  35. analysis of the show from its beginning to 1984 or so.  Most
  36. of the information comes from interviews and the authors view-
  37. ing old episodes on videotape.

  42. by Hal Schuster

  44. I don't not recommend this book on the whole.  It has some
  45. interesting information and pictures, but it is poorly written
  46. and has many errors (including at least three different spellings
  47. of Aykroyd).  Another glaring error is in the biography section.
  48. The page devoted to John Belushi has a picture of his brother,
  49. Jim.  If you can check this book out from a library, go ahead and
  50. get it.  But be sure to take all the information in it with a
  51. shaker of salt.
